Jubilee Officially Kicks Out Rogue Legislator

Jubilee Party in a statement from the secretary-general Raphael Tuju, on Tuesday, November 12, officially kicked Matopeni MCA Abdi Guyo from the position of majority leader in the County Assembly of Nairobi.

In a statement to newsrooms, Tuju announced that Dandora area III MCA Charles Thuo Wakarindi as the replacement and Ziwani Kariokor ward representative Millicent Mugadi as his deputy.

Tuju also announced that the party had appointed Nominated MCA Juliet June Ndegwa as majority whip and California ward representative Hassan Abdikadir Mohamed as the deputy majority whip.

The party confirmed to have received a complaint about Guyo's conduct in the county assembly from The Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko and the party's county leadership.

Jubilee then went on to state that they would not be involved in matters concerning MCAs unless it was absolutely necessary as was the case in Nairobi.

The statement explained the party's deci9sion using the rule of commonwealth democracy a the backdrop of the ruling claiming that in this case the leader of the majority was required to work in harmony with the government at hand to bring development.

Also ousted with Guyo was Waithera Chege who was the party's chief whip in the house.

The letter was received and stamped by the Nairobi assembly speaker Beatrice Elachi confirming the ouster of the Duo who had been accused of fighting governor Sonko who also belongs to the Jubilee party.

“The changes are official because they have already been tabled on the floor of the house. However, if there is any issue the members should take it up with the party,” noted Elachi.

The changes were also shared to governor Mike Sonko.
