Moses Kuria Lauds Ruto's Genius Tactic in Kibra By-election

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria on Wednesday, November 13, lauded Deputy President William Ruto over a genius move he pulled during the just concluded Kibra by-election.

The MP who was speaking on Hot 96 FM during the morning show with Jeff Koinange and Professor Hamo, stated that the DP was not stupid and was well aware of the impending loss, but still opted to field a candidate in what would later be called ODM leader Raila Odinga's bedroom.

"Ruto knew very well he could not win in Kibra, but he went ahead to throw someone in. However, this was very calculated," Kuria stated, adding that the move shed light on the plight of Kibra residents.

Kuria further claimed that by fielding Mariga, Ruto touched the nerve of the ODM Party and its leadership and consequently exposed their weaknesses.

"Kibra was open to the world for the first time. We used to google about Kibra but now at least you can go in," he spoke.

The firebrand legislator, who is well known for being outspoken, argued that despite winning the seat, ODM and Raila still lost something in the mini poll.

"Baba (Raila) has lost, first, he brought the bedroom politics and now violence in Kibra. I mean I was the number one advocate for BBI but now to see what has been made of it, it's sad," the president's MP went on.

He concluded on the matter by stating that Raila might have worn the battle but DP Ruto won the war.

Kuria who was the first to criticise interior CS Fred Matiang'i over the violence witnessed in Kibra on Thursday, November 7, further dug into the CS over the violence meted on JKUAT students after they went on strike on Monday, November 11.

"We can't keep closing universities because of problems in schools. If the problem is insecurity, sort it out," he concluded stating that he was headed straight to Juja after the studio session, to follow up on the matter that saw the university closed indefinitely.
