Puzzle as Family Disappears After Date With KDF Officer

Police officers in Nanyuki are probing an incident in which three members of the same family are said to be missing.

In a report featured on Citizen TV's prime time news on Tuesday, November 12, Joyce Syombua and her two children, Shanice Maua (10) and Prince Michael (5) are believed to have gone missing on October 26, 2019.

The three had visited Major Peter Mugure, father to the two children and estranged husband to Ms Syombua at Nanyuki Barracks the previous day.

They are said to have gone to the Nanyuki stage, with the aim of boarding a matatu to Nairobi.

Nanyuki DCIO Jacob Mureithi explained that detectives were following up with the 4NTE Sacco after it emerged that the missing family members had boarded a matatu registered to the organisation.

"The husband was only in good terms with the wife for sometime," Mureithi stated.

On the other hand, a driver attached to the sacco refuted claims of having ferried the three to Nairobi.

"We do not ferry clients at night, the vehicle that brought Syombua's phone was on private duty," one of the drivers explained regarding the cell phone that had been discovered.
