British Media House in Trouble Over KQ Stowaway Story [VIDEO]

British media house Sky News might soon face litigation if the threats made by Isaac Manyasi, the alleged father of the Kenya Airways stowaway, on Wednesday, November 13, are anything to go by.

Speaking to KTN News, Manyasi narrated how surprised he had been to see the information all over the radio and TV detailing the death of his supposed son who in his opinion was still alive.

"This incident has actually surprised me. I believe I should launch a formal complaint in a court of law," Manyasi stated.

Manyasi recalled how the reporters had visited him and showed him the sketch of the stowaway released by the police in London, but he told them that he was not sure whether it was his son.

"My son's name is Cedrick Shiyunja Isaac. I told them that the photos they were showing me and even the names presented were not those of my son," he recounted.

He further narrated that news had reached him that his son had been found locked up in a prison somewhere in the country, a matter that he added he was going to confirm on Friday.

Manyasi told the reporter that he had not seen his son since July 2017, when they last spoke to each other, but had reason to believe that he was alive and in the country.

"I know, and I believe that it was not my son. I might not have talked to him in a long time and I do not know what he was doing in Nairobi, but I am sure that it was not him," he insisted.

He also reported that no one in the government had reached out to him to try and clear the air over the disappearance even with the reports.

His complaints came with a backdrop of a cleaning company identified as Colnet, which the Sky News report claimed had employed the stowaway, denying any links with any individual with such a name.

The company released a statement on November 12, 2019, clarifying that it had never employed such an individual and that it could account for all its employees.

The genesis of the entire story was on June 30 when an unidentified male body dropped off Kenya Airways flight 100 as it made its descent into London's Heathrow airport on Monday.

It was believed that the dead man had hidden in the wheel well section of the plane hoping to survive the approximately 9-hour flight to the capital of the United Kingdom.
