Horrified Citizen TV's Jeff Koinange Narrates Nearly Hitting Kids While Driving [VIDEO]

Citizen TV anchor Jeff Koinange, on Sunday, November 17, narrated how hours to the Sunday Live bulletin, he nearly ran over a number of kids who were incautiously crossing the road.

The seemingly horrified anchor revealed that he missed knocking them down by a whisker but clarified that he was not driving under the influence.

In a sideline banter with co-host, Victoria Rubadiri, the eloquent anchor explained that the children appeared abruptly and were following a leader.

"We just drove back from Chaka Ranch, my goodness! I was driving as well as I could but you know at some point, kids cross the road.

"And you know, when there is a bunch of kids and one crosses [the road], then the rest follow absolutely," explained Koinange.

Luckily, the anchor was able to bring the vehicle to a halt in good time and no one was injured.

Koinange, together with his son Jamal Mbiyu Koinange, were leaving Chaka Ranch where they had spent a family weekend out.

In a clip of their Chaka Ranch exploits shared on his Instagram, Jeff Koinange managed to dodge the planks the first few times, albeit trying to maintain his balance on the platform.

He, however, was unable to maintain his good record as the speed of the plank increased and shifted directions.

Together with son, the journalist was knocked off balance by the moving plank which caught him off-guard.

Koinange's narration of his startling moment on the road was prompted by a news report in the bulletin where the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) was warning motorists to observe all traffic rules in the festive season.
