EXCLUSIVE: Jeff Koinange Speaks on Joining Politics [VIDEO]

Citizen TV news anchor Jeff Koinange has spoken for the first time on whether he would be interested in joining politics.

Speaking exclusively to Kenyans.co.ke on Monday, November 25, the renowned media personality stated that he would not want to be an elected leader.

"Who is going to vote for me? I drive down Uhuru Highway and I put my windows down and the guys who sell the newspaper say, 'Hi Jeff, why don't you vie for a seat sometime?'

"Then one of the men in the group will say, who is going to vote for him? Who is going to read the news for us?" Jeff narrated as he laughed about it.

He went on and stated that he loved his job as the JKLive show host, adding that politics needed a person who had a thick skin.

"Politics is a dirty game and you have to be able to manoeuvre through all the manure, for lack of a better word. It is tough navigating through politics and you need to have a strong back and a strong backbone to do it," he continued.

He added that he would retire after his journalism career and focus on other things.

"Some people are born to do it, some people are naturals and some people are forced into it. After this, I am retiring. I will probably go and herd some cows and probably seat back and write books," a jovial Jeff stated.

The media personality, who has 25 years of experience in his career, hosts the JKLive show every Wednesday, where he interviews some of the biggest names, including influential multi-billion company CEOs and political figures.
