Kenyan Stabbed to Death in UK After Party Turned Chaotic

The Scotland Yard in the UK is investigating the mysterious murder of a Kenyan employee, who was stabbed to death in a party on Saturday, November 23, 2019.

Evening Standard was first to report that Randy Mugo, 27, an employee at Britain's soft drinks giant Britvic, was slain at a friend's house party after a quarrel over a spilt drink. Mugo was stabbed in the heart.

The argument escalated as four individuals, Mugo included, were stabbed and left for dead on the 14th floor of Blakeney Tower on Buckle Street, Whitechapel.

The revellers were celebrating the 25th birthday of a friend. Police and paramedics arrived at 9 am, treated three of the casualties and sent them to the hospital as they carried Mugo's body.

A witness informed the Evening Standard, that Mugo was a casualty of the fight as he had tried to broker peace between the aggressors.

“Everybody was happy drinking and chatting when an argument started over a spilt drink. Punches were thrown and there was lots of fighting. People, especially the girl whose party it was, tried to break it up but couldn’t. I saw one guy with a kitchen knife.

“Guests had drunk a lot, mainly spirits. The party started at about 2 am. It was a friendly party until the fight over something so silly. The poor guy who died was a peacemaker as two groups fought each other," the witness affirmed.

Seven people were arrested as Inspector Will White urged those who attended the party to submit any vital information regarding the case.

Randy, who relocated to the UK with his mother Rahab Mugo when he was two, was a Liverpool fan and also spent his spare time counselling the youth.

"The family is yet to come to terms with the loss. We are all shocked. The whole family wishes to wake up and find this was just a bad dream. We are totally devastated. There are no words we can pen down to express how we fee," Paul Maina a relative informed the Daily Nation.
