Jacque Maribe's Nanny Narrates 'Scary' Stay With Jowie

Monica Kimani's murder trial took a dramatic twist on Thursday, November 28, after Jacque Maribe's former house-help, Pamela Kemo, narrated about how Joseph Irungu, alias, Jowie treated her while living at the former Citizen TV journalist's home.

Speaking at the High Court in Nairobi, Kemo confessed to being extremely scared of Jowie, as he constantly scolded her at times accused her of stealing.

"Every time, Jowie would walk around with a gun in his pocket. As a result, I was extremely scared of him,” she stated.

“He often got angry at me and would scold me often. At one point, he accused me of stealing money meant for house rent,” she added.

She went on to give a detailed account of what actually transpired at Maribe's house on the night of Monica's murder.

According to her sworn testimony, on the day the gruesome murder was apparently committed, Jowie left Maribe's house in a pair of brown shorts, a white T-shirt and a cap as well as a bag.

“He did not return to the house that evening. He came back on Thursday afternoon (September 20, 2018) and drove Maribe to work at around 4 p.m. He returned to the house, but left again later in the evening," she narrated.

The nanny also gave a detailed narration of how Jowie shot himself in the shoulder, adding that it was their neighbor Brian Kasaine, who rushed the suspect to the hospital.

Kemo told the court that before being employed by Maribe in 2016, she worked as a nanny for Maribe’s ex-colleague at Citizen TV, Terryanne Chebet.
