MP Resorts to the Bible to Pass Critical Message to Uhuru

Bumula MP Moses Mwambu on Sunday, December 1, took to using a Bible message to advise President Uhuru Kenyatta against abandoning his Deputy, William Ruto.

While using Mordecai, the main personality in the book of Esther in the Bible, Mwambu requested the president to remember the DP's service to him during his time as the Head of State and honour him.

"If you can listen to my words Mr President and read the book of Esther Chapter 6, there is a king in the bible who dreamt that he should look into the books of history of leadership.

"When he perused through the books, he was reminded of his servant Mordecai, who was almost killed in a plot that had been hatched and honoured him by making him his chief advisor," Mwambu remarked.

"I want you to remember that the DP, who is being abused day and night, stood by you in 2002 when most did not want anything to do with you, in 2013 and in 2017 when he was having five meetings before you even begin your day, that is the Mordecai I am referring to," he added.

The lawmaker went ahead and advised the president against being in government in 2022, adding that the DP should take over.

"I refuse to imagine that the president can sit somewhere and plan to extend his time.

"I refuse to believe that you are seated somewhere planning to be the prime minister in this country. I Mwambu, I refuse to believe," he stated.

Mwambu concluded by requesting the president to peruse his books of history and gather who had been consistent during his time as president.
