'Atwoli's' Account Deleted After Bitter Fight With Miguna [SCREENSHOTS]

A Twitter account bearing the name of Central Organisation of Trade Unions (Cotu) secretary-general Francis Atwoli was on the morning of Monday, December 2, pulled down after an altercation with lawyer Miguna Miguna.

It all started with an apparent lesson from the Cotu leader to Kenyan youth about how drafters of constitutions the world over never consult the youth.

To prove his point, the account even cited the United States constitution explaining that it was created by five old men without involving the youth.

"Youths [sic] must be very shallow to think that constitutions are written by youths [sic]. The American constitution which is one of the oldest in the world was prepared by old men and they never consulted the youths [sic]," shared the account that bore the handle @sg_atwoli.

Seemingly offended by the post, Miguna took a swipe at the Cotu leader arguing that however old the team that created the US constitution was, it was highly learned and that they were not too old.

The account would then respond with a claim that Miguna was not a Kenyan citizen and that he had better prospects channeling his energy towards the success of Canada where he is currently domiciled.

Miguna's rejoinder hit below the belt as he chose to pinpoint trivial grammatical errors made by the account holder.

"The plural of youth is youth. 'Youths' may exist in your despotic language but it does not exist in English language," he stated.

Miguna has, for the past two years, been engaging in online wars with Kenyans leaders including an attack on former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and his son Raila Odinga Jnr since his deportation in 2018.
