Moses Kuria's Angry Rant Lands Him in Trouble

Gatundu South legislator Moses Kuria on Monday, December 2, announced that he was launching a bid to impeach the National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi.

The controversial legislator, on social media, announced that he had arrived at the decision after Muturi announced that he had ruled out any attempts to have the BBI report tabled before Parliament.

Muturi, speaking at a church fundraiser in Migori County on Sunday, December 1, had insisted that it was up to Kenyans to read the BBI report and decide on how to go about it, and not the National Assembly's role to decide for the public.

These statements irked Kuria who went on an angry rant insisting that the speaker had been bought off by the ODM leadership and was no longer fit to serve in the house.

"If it was Justice Maraga pronouncing himself in a public baraza on how he will rule on a matter before the court, there would be no devils in hell. They would all be in Kenya. Why Justin Muturi would allow himself to be bribed with a tilapia meal by John Mbadi in Migori to rule out a parliamentary route for BBI is a mystery to me. Today I will start collecting signatures to impeach him," Kuria wrote.

His sentiments, however, did not go down well with many Kenyans online who did not hesitate to remind him that the same government he was serving in had appointed the leadership he was serving under.

"This is what you fought for Kuria...You always thought impunity will work on your side," Phineas Karyth quipped.

"Is this the first time Muturi has pronounced himself on national matters? Or maybe you have just woken up or arrived in Kenya... You sound like a stranger in Jerusalem!" Koome Mutungi weighed in.

"Wanjiku received the BBI well, has gone through it and wants to be part of it. How else will Wanjiku be part of BBI if not through the referendum? Or you want Wanjiku to take part through her representative; that one who makes decisions based on the size of the envelope? When it comes to making critical decisions, Wanjiku must be allowed to participate," Alpheas Chesulut

Let's see how it ends...You see clearly after this you are insinuating that you may soon try an impeachment on president Uhuru," Duke Drake weighed in.
