Sabina Chege Lectures Tangatanga MPs In Their Own Event

Murang’a Woman Representative Sabina Chege on December 6, challenged MPs allied to Deputy President William Ruto on their take concerning President Kenyatta’s support for his deputy in the 2022 general elections.

In a video obtained by Kenyans.co.ke, Sabina refuted any claims that President Kenyatta had changed his mind about supporting DP Ruto in 2022, claiming that in no instance had the President shared such a sentiment.

“We voted Uhuru and Ruto together, and I have never heard President Kenyatta declare his change of mind in support of William Ruto in 2022. His stand is still the same and no one can bravely give a differing opinion on that.

“President Kenyatta called us all to Sagana lodge and he indirectly indicated his support for the deputy president,” remarked Sabina.

The Woman Representative further urged Central Kenya leaders to shun divisive politics even as calls for unity between the two factions of Jubilee Party  - Kieleweke and Tangatanga - abound.

“No one should say I am on a different side from the others because we are all on the same side. I support the president and the deputy president too without bias. We are together despite the differences present,” added Sabina.

Deputy president William Ruto, Maragua MP Mary Wamaua and Kandara MP Alice Wahome arrive for the event at Maragua on December 6

In the event aimed to enhancing women's empowerment at Gakoigo grounds, Maragua Constituency, Muranga County, the deputy president accused ODM leader Raila Odinga of trying to create discord in the ruling party while hiding behind the BBI report.

“There are people who don’t know how to do politics without playing divisional theatrics. When they achieve one objective they change the goal post,” remarked Ruto.

However the DP assured the residents of his resilience together with the president in finding lasting solutions for the problems affecting the country.
