City Billionaire Rewards 20 Brave Police Officers

Kenyan billionaire industrialist Manu Chandaria on Wednesday, December 11, awarded 20 police officers for risking their lives under various circumstances.

Through the Chandaria Foundation, which has been awarding police officers for more than 30 years, Chandaria revealed that his organisation would continue to reward security officers who go an extra mile to make the country safe and secure.

He commended the officers for their exemplary performance and urged them to continue dedicating their lives to serving Kenyans.

"Dr Manu Chandaria Foundation recognises the work and bravery demonstrated by police officers as they dispense their duties," read a statement from the National Police Service

Inspector General of Police Hillary Mutyambai thanked Chandaria adding that the awards program inspired many officers to sacrifice their lives in ensuring that the country remains safe and secure.

He noted that the Bravery Award was a celebration of the courage, commitment and selflessness of police officers who had gone beyond the ordinary call of duty to register extraordinary achievement.

"The inspector general of the National Police Service applauds Chandaria Foundation for sustaining this awards program since its inception," continued the statement from NPS.

He expressed hope that the cooperation between Manu Chandaria Foundation and other stakeholders would continue to flourish as it has in the past.
