Besigye's Standard Journalist Lookalike Travels from Nairobi to Meet Him

Ugandan opposition leader, Kizza Besigye, on Friday, December 13, met his lookalike from Nairobi after he travelled all the way to Kampala.

Jeff Ochieng', a Photojournalist with The Standard, first shot into the limelight when Ugandan newspaper, New Vision, shared his photo alongside that of the Ugandan political icon.

The journalist had travelled for Besigye's party the Forum for Democratic Change's (FDC) 15 Anniversary at the Namboole Stadium.

"Ochieng who travelled all the way from Kenya to have a chance of meeting Besigye again during the 15th-anniversary celebrations of FDC at Namboole National Stadium managed to hook up with his look-alike again," the New Vision shared on Twitter accompanying the photo of the duo.

Ochieng in 2014 revealed that his mother had died when he was 12 years old before she could reveal who his father was.

When the New Vision shared there images in 2014 it attracted massive response and the Ugandan politician came out to say that he would be willing to meet up with Jeff.

When the two finally met at the politician’s home, they took photos including an epic selfie that made it even harder to believe they were not related.

The former presidential candidate came out also to deny that Ochieng might be his son.

“I have never fathered anyone in Nairobi. There are many people who resemble me, but that does not necessarily mean I fathered them. I saw something like that (Ochieng’s photo) on the Internet and indeed the man resembles me. But that does not make him my son,” Besigye stated.

The Ugandan politician, who once worked as a medical doctor at the Agha Khan Hospital in Nairobi before joining Museveni’s National Resistance Army in the 1980s revealed that they had become good friends with the young Kenyan journalist.
