KCSE 2019: Top 10 Performing Schools

During the release of 2019 KCSE results on Wednesday, December 18, Education CS George Magoha, mentioned some of the 10 best performing schools in the country.

The schools were ranked according to the number of students that scored an A plain.

Below is the list;

1.) Kenya High School 76

2.) Kapsabet Boys 49

3.)Alliance High School 48

4.)Moi Kabarak 30

5.)Alliance Girls 27

6.)Mary Hill girls 25

7.)Maseno School 23

8.)Nairobi School 23

9.)Mangu High School 23

10.)Moi Girls School 21

627 candidates scored A plain. 5,796 scored A-, while those with C+ (minimum grade for direct university entry) shot to 125, 746 compared to 90,377 in 2018.

The 2019 national exams ran from Monday, November 4 till Wednesday, November 27, and was done by 699,745 candidates.

The KCSE results are accessible via SMS message.

To access their results, candidates will be required to send an SMS message to 20076 with the candidate's index number followed by the acronym KCSE (in capital letters).

Worth noting is that there should be no spacing after the index number's last digit and the initials KCSE.

The service is available for all three network providers in the country Safaricom, Airtel and Telkom.
