Ex-KTN Star Honoured in Hollywood [PHOTOS]

Betty Adera who participated in KTN's Ms President show was on Sunday, December 22, feted with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

According to her social media, the former Ms President contestant was among a group of winners of the First Anniversary Edition of Passion Vista Global Icon Awards held in Los Angeles.

She celebrated the win, acknowledging that the honour was overwhelming and refreshing.

"Passion Vista Global Icon Awards 2019 finally in my hands and several copies of my feature on the front page of Passion Magazine (let me know if you need one).

"The last three days have been overwhelming but in a refreshing and divine," she posted.

"Doing good pays, not only with awards and recognition but with the knowledge that a life has been saved or changed for the better. Honoured to receive Global Icon Award and medal of honour," Adera continued.

She was recognised by the international media outlet for her humanitarian work.

Her organisation, Betty Adera Foundation International, helps alleviate gender-based violence, advocates for youth empowerment as well as the inclusion of girls and women in leadership.

In July 2019, Adera emerged fourth in the KTN show, Ms President, a competition that was won by Nereah Amondi Oketch from Homa Bay County Assembly.

First and second runners up were Umulkheir Mohammed from Garissa County and Renee Irene Mayaka (Nyamira) respectively.
