Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha, on Saturday, January 4, sent out a powerful message while speaking in Kisumu.
The stern CS made it clear that he was content with his life and urged the country to learn to respect people for what they have done rather than what they have.
"I am the wealthiest person in this country. Because my wealth is here (pointing to his heart). I don't need anymore, you can't threaten me because I live in God's grace," he stated.
He then explained why he thought the country was heading down the wrong path, attributing it all to the habit of protecting known criminals.
"Our nation is breaking down because we glorify thieves," he declared.
Magoha went on to speak out against suicide resulting from failed examinations, urging students to focus on their various strengths.
He then urged parents to focus more on how they raise their children as it was directly linked to how they handle challenges later on in life.
"What has happened to the parents of today? Shame on you! Do you even take time with your children at least 1 or 2 hours with no television or radio?" he posed.
The CS also took time to encourage the young generation, urging them to value life and actually take time to enjoy themselves.
"Please take control of your life and enjoy it. There is no limit to what you can do," he remarked.
