'Somali Guy' in Betty Kyallo Drama Breaks Silence

Following days of speculation online about what the identity of the Somali friend was, netizens concluded that a Kenyan by the name Alinur Mohamed was the mystery man.

His picture made rounds on social media with many claiming to have pieced together evidence revealing the man's identity.

The businessman and aspiring politician, however, on Saturday, January 4, set the record straight stating that he was not the 'Somali guy' as alleged by many online.

"There has been speculation about my personal life in the past few days. Kenyans are linking me to the Somali Guy who was mentioned by NTV news anchor Ken Mijungu in his story that touched on Betty Kyallo and Dennis Okari. All these speculation are misleading," Alinur stated on Twitter.

Netizens claimed that Alinur Mohamed, an aspiring politician, was the 'Somali guy' referred to by Ken Mijungu.

He added that the information shared was devoid of truth and was spread by individuals with malicious personal interests.

"My happiness doesn't come from other people's misfortune. It's important that Kenyans know the truth. I have a family that I love so much," he added.

The man also called for respect for his family and that of the K24 TV news anchor affirming that "Please, I am not the Somali Guy."

Betty, on Monday, December 30, 2019, expressed her gratitude to God for saving her daughter Ivanna, from a rare auto-immune disease known as acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM).

In the post, the news anchor did not mention that Ivanna's father, NTV news anchor Dennis Okari, had also played a role in helping their daughter, something that did not go well with Mijungu.

In his post, Mijungu revealed the existence of another male character of Somali origin who played a part in the baby's welfare.
