The Daily Nation stated that two of the victims were rushed to Kerugoya Referral hospital Hospital for specialised treatment after sustaining serious injuries.

The latest incident comes just a day after a Kenyan international athlete Kenneth Muriithi Njiru died on the spot after his vehicle was involved in an accident along Nyeri-Nyahururu road.

The Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) athlete was heading towards Nyahururu town when his saloon car collided head-on with a Toyota land cruiser ferrying 3 Russian tourists towards Nyeri.

Reports by Citizen Digital revealed that the KDF officer was driving on the wrong lane and rammed into the land cruiser while trying to swerve back onto the other side of the road.
