Deputy Governor's Wife Dies

Linah Leseeto, the wife to Samburu deputy governor Julius Leseeto has passed on.

Ms Leseeto died on Friday, January 10, after falling battling a lung disease.

“She had been battling with what was thought to be pneumonia but it was later discovered to be a connective lung tissue problem. She had been in the ICU for about 16 days,” the Deputy Governor told Daily Nation.

Taking to his social media pages, Samburu Governor Moses Kasaine Lenolkulal, sent his condolence message to the family of his deputy.

Before her death, he had visited the deceased in hospital and prayed for her.

"It is with profound sadness and sorrow that I have received the news of the passing on of H.E Linah Leseeto. I visited her in hospital while unwell and prayed for her recovery together with friends.

"On my own behalf, on behalf of my family and the entire County Government of Samburu, I wish to convey my sincere condolences to the family," he stated. 

He prayed that the Almighty God grants solace and fortitude to the mourning family during this difficult time.

Deputy Governor Leseeto ran activities in the county when his boss was barred from office, following a graft case against him.

Lenolkulal was arrested after DPP Noordin Haji ordered that he, his deputy and 11 sitting ex-chief officers be arrested over a Ksh84 Million fuel scam.
