Steve Mbogo Picks Fight With Moses Kuria in Viral Video

Former Starehe MP aspirant Steve Mbogo on Tuesday, January 14, lashed out at Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria over allegedly disrespecting President Uhuru Kenyatta.

In a viral video that has been circulating on social media platforms, Mbogo threatened to 'personally deal' with Kuria.

"I have previously asked you not to abuse the president as well as ODM leader Raila Odinga. We want to tell you that it is time for you to mature and grow up.

"We also want to tell you that we will not wait for the police to go after you when you continue abusing the president, I Steve Mbogo, as a youth leader, I will not tolerate it when you disrespect your elders," he stated.

He further advised Kuria to file any complaints he had against the two at the police station, instead of undermining their authority.

The flamboyant politician congratulated the president for firing former Agriculture CS Mwangi Kiunjuri and reshuffling the cabinet.

Mbogo's comments came days after Kuria requested the president to intervene after five bloggers, who were attending a court case in his support, were detained at Capitol Hill Police Station in Nairobi County.

"Mr President, leave my bloggers, I am the one who has a problem," he stated.

"These people woke up early in the morning, some came as far as Naivasha, Nakuru, Nanyuki, Embu and they have been coming only to witness justice and you arrest them, it is really a burden," Kuria continued.

On Saturday, January 11, Kuria also claimed that former Prime Minister Raila Odinga had joined forces with Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru and Interior CS Fred Matiang'i in a political pact.

The lawmaker further claimed that the trio had proceeded to strengthen their political formation during a Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) meeting in Kisii.

"I have no shame, I have no guilt to say that in this country we are heading for elections next year but one and it is normal and natural that we are going to have formations in this country.

"Yesterday, we saw a formation of Raila Odinga, CS Matiang'i and Anne Waiguru that came out of Kisii. I do not belong to that formation of Raila, Matiang'i and Waiguru presidential campaign," argued Kuria.
