How Uhuru Appointment Blunder Ruined Man's Life

Enosh Momanyi, a 29-year-old whom The Standard newspaper erroneously reported to have been appointed as a principal secretary by President Uhuru Kenyatta, has narrated the heartache he and his family endured after learning it was a mistake.

According to K24 Digital, Momanyi stated the news affected his mother, who suffered from hypertension.

"On Wednesday, my family was excited after my photo appeared on The Standard, saying that I was the Physical Planning PS appointed by the president. My mum was so excited.

"However, after the clarification was made, my family was left confused and gloomy," he told the publication.

Despite the occurrences, Momanyi showed optimism that the president would one day appoint him for a state job.

Momanyi is a Bachelor of Commerce graduate from Dedan Kimathi University of Technology, who scored a mean grade of A- at the Friends’ School Kamusinga.

“I am, however, yet to get a break-through. Though I am glad that I have impacted my community by actively involving myself in community-based engagements," he stated.

Further, he congratulated his namesake, who was appointed by the president for the position.

Momanyi came to the limelight after a video of him making his acceptance speech surfaced the internet.

"Good evening fellow Kenyans, my name is Enosh Momanyi, I am 29 years old from Webuye West Constituency, Bungoma County. Today has been a good day waking up in the morning to calls and texts from people I know and those I don't know, congratulating me for my appointment by the president to the position of the PS for Physical Planning.

"Actually I learned this through The Standard newspaper dated January 15, 2020, over the aforementioned appointment. I wish to thank His Excellency for believing in youth," stated Momanyi.

"My desire is to align my responsibilities with Uhuru's Big 4 Agenda. As I conclude, I also wish to thank all Kenyans and I look forward to being a servant to all of you. Thank you," he added.
