The deceased's second wife, Naomi Mumbua, who was allegedly living with him until his demise, is said to have organised a funeral ceremony oblivious of the court order.

On the day of the burial, officers are said to have stopped the service mid-way and issued the court order.

In addition, the officers walked to the altar, where they took the body and left, leaving the congregants in shock.

The body was returned to the Yatta Funeral home.

Meanwhile, a similar incident presented itself on Wednesday, February 5, during the burial of a man which was to be held in Murang'a County.

Seven women claiming to be the late Maina Githuka's wives caused drama at a mortuary in Thika.

The women are said to have wanted a part of Githuka's vast wealth.

Murang'a Assistant County Commissioner James Tagua stated that Githuka died during a police shoot out in Thika after a robbery incident.
