Viral Woman's Hard-Hitting Warning Stuns Kenyans [VIDEO]

A video shared on social media in which a woman put Kenyans on the spot as she tore into them over their strange electoral habits has gone viral.

In the video, the woman, 23-year old Lucia Ayiela, deconstructed Kenyans' perception of elected leaders as the 'bosses', using an analogy of a house-help to drive her point home.

In the video, Ayiela observes that many Kenyans employ house-helps whose job description and salaries they define, noting that they retain or dismiss them based on performance.

She wondered, then, why Kenyans who elect various leaders to serve them were unable to take action and get rid of unworthy leaders whom they instead glorify.

Ayiela referenced the habit as proof of rapper King Kaka's message on the critically acclaimed spoken word single Wajinga Nyinyi.

"The way a house-help looks for work at your home is the same way politicians come looking for work through your vote.

"Because without our votes, the politician is just another unemployed Kenyan tarmacking. We are the politicians' employers just as we are the house-helps' employers," she asserted.

Ayiela decried moves to increase salaries and allowances of lawmakers and other politicians, asking Kenyans why they would allow such to happen.

"What you should be asking yourself as a Kenyan is why are you are allowing your house-help to raise her salaries and allowances to a point where you're giving them more than you're earning as salary?

"Why is your house-help driving a V8 while you use Legsus and Footsubishi?

"Why is your house-help creating laws to exploit you in your own house? Why is your child studying at a polling station while your house-help's child is studying abroad?

"Why are you calling your house-help mheshimiwa (honorable)? " the visibly frustrated woman thundered.

Breaking down her analogy, Ayiela explained that Kenya was the home, the politicians were the house-helps and citizens were the home-owners.

She advised Kenyans to understand leaders' roles and to treat them accordingly, lamenting the glorified status of elected leaders in society.

"The politician is not honorable. The politician is your house-help, and you should treat him accordingly," Ayiela asserted.

Stirred, a section of Kenyans thanked Lucy for her message which they rallied behind.

"From the comments, I can tell Kenyans hate the truth. She is trying to awake comfortably sleeping citizens," wrote Joel Amenya K.

"I think Kenyans needs such comparison proverbs to understand their rights. Well done lady!" Mark Waiganjo shared.

"Hongera dada (Congratulations sister).. thanks for helping Kenyans think big," reacted Abdi Mohammed.
