The Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) on Sunday, February 23, 2020 arrested two suspects in connection with human trafficking.

As per a statement from their official twitter handle, DCI stated that the two suspects, Thabit Hanni Yaseen Radman and Faren Yassin Radman were caught in Eastleigh following a raid by detectives.

The operation followed a tip-off from members of the public that there were several people locked in a single room in Eastleigh's Ushirika Estate.

Pangani detectives proceeded to the location and found 11 Kenyans in a room believed to be owned by the two arrested foreign nationals. Those found were between the ages of 23 and 30 years.

When the two suspects were interrogated it was established that they were allegedly recruiting the young women for jobs in the middle east.

The foreign nationals will remain in custody as investigations continue.
