Saburi had tested positive on Sunday, March 22, weeks after arriving in the country from Germany via Amsterdam on March 6.

He refused to self-isolate and came into contact with a number of people, which caused an uproar among Kenyans.

Saburi is reported to have met a group of MCAs on March 7 at Royal Hotel in Mazeras to discuss preparations for International Women's Day celebrations that were to be held in Rabai.

He also attended the burial of the late former Deputy Governor Kenneth Kamto's bodyguard on the same date and was reportedly sighted at a night club in Bamburi, Mombasa on March 19.

In addition, Mutahi announced that the number of confirmed covid-19 cases had risen to 110 after he stated that 29 new people had tested positive for the virus.

He added that two other patients had succumbed to coronavirus.

"I am saddened to announce that we have lost two Covid-19 patients, which brings the number of deaths from the virus in Kenya to 3. One in Nairobi and another in Mombasa " he stated.
