NTV's beloved morning show, AM Live, is no longer on air over the deepening Covid-19 crisis.
Speaking exclusively to Kenyans.co.ke, the hit show's host and NTV news anchor Debarl Inea disclosed that the hit show was taking a three-month break over the virus.
He further disclosed that he also proceeded on leave but would return on the small screen as a news anchor soon enough.
The show centred around political talk and state of the national discussion and was frequented by Political Analyst Herman Manyora, Kandara MP Alice Wahome, and former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale as panellists.
"Currently because of the Covid-19, we have taken a short break. I think Covid-19 has affected it as well. The break is going to run for at least three months starting yesterday (Monday, April 13).
"For the morning they have introduced something which is health-oriented and so for the next three months we shall shelve it," stated Debarl.
"Currently, I am on leave and essentially I am a news anchor at NTV so I will go back to the news," he added noting that a number of the show's loyal fans were heartbroken after learning of the new development.
Kenyans.co.ke, has learned that AM Live was replaced by a show dubbed 'Your World' which is set to concentrate on the Covid-19 pandemic.
The new show airs every weekday from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and has several segments that offer pieces of advice on matters of health.
In the promo, a number of high-ranking officials will compile reports to run during the segment including Denis Okari and Gladys Gachanja.
The Covid-19 pandemic has forced the Kenyan media industry to re-evaluate its business module with Citizen TV overhauling its entire programme to incorporate crucial updates as well as children shows.
