Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria has alleged that the 2013 and 2017 General Elections could have been rigged in favour of President Uhuru Kenyatta's TNA and Jubilee Party respectively.

His statement came minutes after a Jubilee Senate Parliamentary Group meeting resolved to oust Deputy President William Ruto's allies Kipchumba Murkomen and Susan Kihika from the Majority Leader and Majority Whip positions in the Senate respectively.

Moses Kuria took to Facebook on Monday, May 11, to allege that the 2013 and 2017 General Elections were rigged.

"I have always been in denial that we did not steal the 2013 and 2017 elections. Today its almost clear. Congratulations belatedly Baba," read the MP's post.

Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, Kuria shed light behind his sensational claim about the two presidential elections, both that ended up at the Supreme Court with the August 8, 2017, election being nullified by a Justice David Maraga-led bench.

"There were 15 senators there in State House. So, my question is, if we can cheat on something that happened today morning what about the General Elections? So the claims by Raila should be taken seriously.

"We have always been told that we stole elections and we deny but since today we have stolen without shame, then there is some truth in Raila's claims.

"It's like he (Raila) won because if we can steal elections for around 10 people in broad daylight, what about the rest," said Moses Kuria.

In his Facebook post on Sunday, May 10, after he resurfaced following reports that he had been arrested, Kuria hinted at being used to frustrate the opposition in the past.

"I have been used before as a guinea pig to send a message to the opposition, the political class. I was arrested and charged in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 to facilitate arrests of opposition leaders.

"I had to battle those charges in court before I was acquitted of all of them. But still, I am not a guinea pig," wrote Kuria.

On Monday, May 11, President Uhuru Kenyatta summoned senators to a parliamentary group meeting at State House which was not attended by among others Senators Kithure Kindiki (Tharaka Nithi), Kipchumba Murkomen (Elgeyo-Marakwet) and Susan Kihika (Nakuru).

The three Ruto allies lost their positions in the Senate leadership with Kindiki losing is Deputy Majority Leader position.
