Moses Wetang'ula has officially been kicked out of Ford Kenya Party leadership.

Registrar of Political Parties Ann Nderitu published a Gazette notice on Monday, June 8, indicating that Kanduyi Member of Parliament Athanas W. Wamunyinyi was the official leader of the party.

"Any person with written submissions concerning the intended change by the political party shall within 7 days from the date herein deposit them with the Registrar of Political Parties,” read part of the notice.

Wetangula was ejected alongside the party’s National Organizing Secretary Chris Mandu Mandu who was replaced with Josephine Waungu.

This turn of events comes just one week after Wetang'ula regain back his leadership role when the same Registrar rescinded the decision by Ford Kenya's National Executivetive Council (NEC) to oust the Bungoma Senator as the Party Leader.

On Sunday, May 31, the party held a special meeting at Nairobi's Radisson Blu Hotel, where a decision was reached to remove Wetangula from party leadership due to accusation of gross misconduct and failing to champion unity among members.

The former Minority Leader in the Senate is also accused of failing to provide inspiring leadership to the party contrary to Clause 49 of the party’s constitution.

However, besieged Moses Wetang'ula fought back against his ouster and even went ahead to suspend Simiyu Eseli as Secretary-General.

"Regrettably, my close friend and the person I grew up with, is suspended and will be replaced by Kiminini MP Chris Wamalwa," he said on Sunday during a press briefing, minutes after a section of the NEC met and resolved to remove him.

"Wafula Wamunyinyi, a man who has walked in my shadow, has also been suspended and we have appointed Vincent Kemosi as the new secretary for Livestock," declared Wetang'ula.

Speaking on the same day of his ouster at the Ford Kenya's headquarters, off Ngong Road, the Wetangula announced that those who participated in the alleged illegal takeover were been suspended.

However, as fate may have it, Moses is no longer the Party Leader of Ford Kenya.
