A fistfight that broke out at the Wajir County Assembly on Wednesday, June 17 left four MCAs nursing serious injuries.
The melee was reportedly brought about by a disagreement among the members on the membership of the county assembly's finance and budget committee.
MCA Hussein Yare, who was suspended earlier in the day, was said to have stormed the chambers and challenged the speaker to proceed with the session.
Other members opted to rain kicks blows on him as those who supported him retaliated. He was eventually ejected.
The chaos led to four MCAs being hospitalised at the Ladnan Hospital in the county.

Sittings were later suspended by the speaker of the assembly, Ibrahim Yakub.
This was not the first incident of chaos erupting at the assembly over disagreements among the members.
In 2018, five people including a member of the press were injured after a fight erupted in the assembly.
This came after the Speaker failed to name a preferred member to the Wajir County Assembly Service Board.
Police had to intervene to calm the situation by firing teargas canisters at the legislators.
Three ward representatives Halle Bule (Hadado Ward), Abdi Ahmed (Wagalla Ganyure Ward) and Osman Muktar (Arbajahan Griftu Ward) were arrested for questioning over the chaos.
Following the arrest, MCAs numbering about 15, stormed the Directorate of Criminal Investigations offices where their colleagues were taken to, accusing detectives of bias.
