Robert 'Khula' Budi who plays the role of Trevor in Citizen TV's hit show Maria officially tied the knot to his long-time girlfriend in a one of a kind beach wedding.
Budi, who is also former Mr. Kenya, said 'I do' to his fiancé in a private ceremony at Ukunda, Mombasa County, attended by close friends and family.
"It is not every day that you marry your best friend. This is the most special day of my life," he wrote on his social media page revealing that they held the ceremony on August 20, 2020.
His co-star in the show, Wanjiku Stephens who portrays Vanessa shared her congratulatory message to the couple.
"Congratulations to Budi on your union. May God bless this marriage," Wanjiku wrote.
The couple had held a traditional wedding earlier in the year with family and friends, where photos of the event leaked online.
The intimate customary wedding ceremony whose dress code heavily featured Kikuyu traditional wear was held at the fiancé's home.
The fitness trainer, admitted that the leak caught him by surprise as they had put out that no information, including photo evidence, should be shared.
“I am surprised to see photos of the event on social media. Considering it was an intimate event, it is just funny how those photos leaked,” he stated at the time.
Budi who has established himself as a lifestly influencer put up an impressive show at the 2019 Mr. World finals in Manilla, Philippines, emerging second in Africa.
He is the founder of Black Forest Beard Oil that specialises in essential oils in beard care for men.
The model also founded Fitnesswars AKA FIWA with three friends who shared a passion in health and fitness, a friendly challenge amongst themselves.
