Businessman Chris Kirubi and ODM leader Raila Odinga on Wednesday, October 14, joined in the famous 'Jerusalema' dance challenge at the Two Rivers mall in Nairobi.

In a video shared by Kirubi, choreographers were seen leading the two in the dance moves as the duo tried to mimic, albeit, out of sync.

"At the Gor Mahia event this afternoon I let loose and shook a leg with the team," Odinga said lightly.

The duo was celebrating the partnership between Two Rivers Development Limited and the Gor Mahia FC Kenya where Kirubi gave the football team a training ground as well as Ksh100,000 to support them.

The partnership between the two is expected to help prepare the team for the next season of the FKF Premier League, which is set to begin in mid November.

"I commend Two Rivers for partnering with Gor mahia and offering them the mall’s Sports District for use as their training ground this season. I urge more corporate entities to support local sports teams especially community clubs," Odinga stated.

The dance, which has since gone viral, is influenced by Master KG's hit track  'Jerusalema' featuring Nomcebo Zikode.

Since the original song's release in December 2019, it has garnered 184 million, with corporates around the world trying their shot at the dance challenge.

Early on Wednesday, Members of Parliament also tried their hand at the challenge, making their own dance moves.

National Assembly Majority and Minority leaders Amos Kimunya and John Mbadi led other leaders in the moves, dancing from corner to corner in between two columns that had been made by the MPs.

The legislators had practised for the dance for two days before they finally captured on camera.
