Kenyans will soon enjoy the delivery of licenses among other NTSA services at their convenience in a new deal.

The National Transport and Safety Authority has partnered with the Postal Corporation of Kenya to provide logistics and delivery services to Kenyans.

The partnership will have the PCK deliver Driving licenses, logbooks, PSV badges, and other documents across the country.

PCK will use an online system that can be viewed by all parties for updates on the movement of every shipment to the time of delivery. The process will be tracked through its post global system and additional systems established.

The service is scheduled to begin on or before Wednesday, March 31, 2021. According to NTSA director-general George Njao, the partnership will aid in improving the services.

"The partnership with PCK is aimed at fulfilling a presidential directive of same-day service delivery improving transparency in the management of documents," he said.

The PCK Act 1998 requires the corporation to avail accessible, affordable, and reliable postal services across the country.

DanIel Kagwe, the PCK general said that the corporation is well able to distribute and handle the logistics services of NTSA adding that it would smoothen the customer experience. The corporation has a broad network of over 600 branches in the country and experience over the years.

He assured that Posta is adapting to the current technology and dynamic human needs.

"This enables the development of suitable last-mile delivery networks which today are the enablers of economic, social, financial, and digital inclusion," he added.

The corporation has placed itself as the deliveryman for government agencies. It is also in partnership with the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government and Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA) on delivery of passports and distribution of drugs to support the Universal Health Service respectively to Kenyans.
