Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro has claimed that Ksh20 million is withdrawn from Jubilee Party accounts every month and shared among certain family members.
Speaking in on Sunday, March 21, in a video captured by Daily Nation, the lawmaker accused the party claiming that it was being run professionally, but like a family business.
Without mentioning which family he was referring to, Nyoro revealed that a member of the said family had been listed as a signatory in the party's accounts.
"You have been running this Jubilee Party as a family affair. Go and check who the signatories of Jubilee Party are. One of them who is a must sign, is not an official, but a relative of the leadership of Jubilee Party.
"Jubilee Party has been run like a family kiosk. You withdraw Ksh20 million every month, you divide among family members and some fellows within Jubilee," claimed Nyoro.
Nyoro also dared the party to carry through with plans to eject Deputy President William Ruto from its leadership ranks arguing that the party was already on its deathbed.
"We are not interested, in any one way, in an outfit called Jubilee Party. You have so much baggage. You have taken this country into an abyss of debt. Jubilee, as we know, and as we believe, is a party of the past.
"Do not think you will threaten anyone by purporting that you want to remove the Deputy President. You are removing from something that is neither here nor there," he claimed.
On Wednesday, March 17, rumours had been awash that the process of ejecting the DP as Jubilee's deputy leader had been put in motion.
Jubilee Secretary General Raphael Tuju, however, clarified shortly after that the impending ouster of Ruto would not affect his constitutional role as the DP.
Tuju noted that the process would only remove Ruto from the Deputy Party leaders' post and not his position as Deputy President of the country.
President Uhuru Kenyatta is expected to chair a National Executive Council (NEC) that will decide whether to kick Ruto out of Jubilee after he was accused of promoting the agenda of another party, the United Democratic Alliance (UDA).
"He will still hold this position as Deputy President, even if he is removed as Deputy Party Leader. The DP does not have to be the leader of a party.
"He will remain the DP, unless he is impeached by Parliament," Tuju explained at the time.
