Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi on Tuesday, March 23, visted his Kimilili counterpart Didmus Barasa, two days after he announced that he was taking a sabbatical from Tangatanga, a political outfit associated with Deputy President William Ruto.

In a statement, Sudi stated that he visited the lawmaker to share his opinion regarding his decision to go on a four month sabbatical.

"I paid courtesy visit to my friend Hon Didmas Barasa, Kimilili MP in his office earlier today...I however, requested him to reduce the four months to a lesser time. Let's wait and see what he will decide," Sudi stated.

On his part, Barasa told Kenyans.co.ke that he has been receiving a number of leaders in his office, all of them coming to see him and consult on important issues.

"They have been coming to consult with me on a number of issues that are beneficial to the politics of the country," he said.

The lawmaker dismissed claims that he had joined the Amani National Congress (ANC) party which is led by Hon Musalia Mudavadi.

"If I were to do any consultations with ANC party, I would do it with Musalia Mudavadi himself, but not other parties," he added.

On Sunday, March 21, Barasa announced that he was taking a sabbatical to concentrate on developmental projects in Kimilili.

Barasa also unveiled his plan to unite the Western leaders together ahead of the 2022 General elections, in a bid to stake their claim in the political arena.

He noted that the leaders from Western ought to speak in one voice for them to succeed in learning the interest and the will of the people.
