The OCS and three other police officers were patrolling around the Kahara area when they bumped into the armed men.

“They encountered four suspicious men who were walking on foot towards Ngong Township.

"The police officers alighted from the motor vehicle to inquire on where they were going but they started firing at them.

A chase ensued between the other officers and the robbers who had by then fled towards Ngong Hills.

However, the police were unable to nab their assailants, according to the report.

An officer privy to the incident stated that they had launched investigations into the matter.

Detectives detailed that they were waiting for a ballistic report as they traced the whereabouts of the armed men.
