The case of the mysterious death of a man, Andrew Omollo, in Donholm has grown ambiguous after the discovery of two contradicting notes.
A report by The Standard on Sunday, July 11, indicated that the family of the late has clashed with the police over claims that the notes were authored by their kin.
One of the two notes was addressed to Omollo's parents in which he noted that the mistakes he had done were too much to bear.
“I tried to live but my mistakes were too much to bear. This life is no longer my own, it belongs to everyone," read the note in part.
The other note was addressed to an individual identified as Lavenda in which the deceased is believed to have apologised over transgressions.
"I am sorry I wasn’t what you thought I was, the struggle was too much to bear. I love you," read the note.
The authorities are treating the death as a suicide but a relative of the deceased claims that the two notes were not written by Omollo citing different handwritings.
The family further noted that it suspects foul play in the death since an autopsy carried out on the body showed that Omollo had died of strangulation.
The deceased was found dead in his house in Donholm by the caretaker of the building with a code tied around his neck.
The caretaker, Nicholas Nzuku, noted that he was alarmed by Omollo's week-long absence and decided to check his house where he found his decomposing body.
“I thought he had travelled because the last time we spoke was the previous Friday,” stated Nzuku.
The deceased resided on the 7th floor of the block in Ebenezer Court, a bedsitter.
