Four people were killed and several others severely injured after they were involved in a fatal road crash along the Eldoret - Webuye Road.
The Saturday, August 21, accident at the Kaburengu bridge involved two trucks, a pick-up truck and a station wagon.
According to eyewitness reports, the accident occurred after one of the lorries veered off the road ramming into the other vehicles.
One of the lorries, in a video clip seen by Kenyans.co.ke, caught fire after the collision.
Witnesses said that the lorry's breaks failed causing it to ram into the pick-up and then the station wagon killing all the occupants of the two vehicles instantly.
The station wagon, a Toyota Probox, caught fire that spread rapidly, burning the already dead occupants beyond recognition.
The second lorry also caught fire but firefighters from the county managed to contain it before it could spread further.
The Kaburengu bridge has been in the news over the years over the ever rising number of fatal crashes.
Two years ago, a speeding petrol tanker rammed onto a matatu killing all the 11 occupants at the Kaburengu junction on Webuye – Eldoret road.
Police confirmed that there were no survivors in the crash.
