Governor Salim Mvurya Loses His Mother

Kwale Governor, Salim Mvurya, is mourning the demise of his mother, Mama Sada Mgalla Nyawa, who died on Monday, August 23.

Mama Sada died while receiving treatment at the Diani Beach Hospital in Msambweni.

President Uhuru Kenyatta has condoled with the Governor's family.

The President mourned Mama Sada as a strong, virtuous and determined matriarch who raised an outstanding family.

On his part, Deputy President, William Ruto, echoed the Head of State's sentiments, praising the Governor's mother for raising upright children.

“We pray that God grants the family, and their loved ones strength to bear the pain. Rest in Peace, Mama Sada,” read the DP's message.

His Mombasa counterpart, Ali Hassan Joho, described Mama Sada Mgala as a mother and role model to many women.

Kilifi Governor, Amason Kingi, also sent a message of condolences to his Kwale counterpart.

Kingi described the Governor's late mother as a respected and influential figure in the Kwale community who championed women empowerment and education for the girl child.

Tourism Cabinet Secretary, Najib Balala, also mourned the matriarch as a strong, cheerful leader.

She will be buried on Tuesday, August 24 at Mariakani in Kinango sub-county.
