With this, some of the channels have gained popularity due to their creative content, resulting in a win for both the viewers and the creators, who now take home millions of shillings.

Citizen TV
Citizen TV, a company under the Royal Media Services (RMS), is one of the most-watched channels in the country both on TV and YouTube.
Having joined on August 7, 2008, the channel has 917.13 million views and 2.85 million subscribers.
Tech Freeze
The channel details the newest technologies, inventions, innovations and creations and has the highest numbers of subscribers in Kenya.
It currently has 876.4 million views and 2.42 million subscribers.
KTN News
It is a 24-hour news channel that airs content, ranging from news, sports, documentaries and investigative features.
Currently, the channel has been viewed by 840.4 million people and has a total of 2.02 million subscribers.
NTV Kenya
The news and entertainment channel has currently been watched by 565.3 million individuals and subscribed by 1.59 million.
Some of the popular shows on the channel include; Churchill Show, The Trend, Bull's Eye, AM Live, Crossover 101, Press Pass, Health Diary, Unscripted With Grace and The Wicked Edition.
Churchill Show
The channel was pioneered by one of Kenya's leading entertainers, Daniel Ndambuki, also known as Churchill.
The entertainer interviews a number of people including politicians, musicians, influential businessmen and women and so on.
Currently, the channel has 1.77 million subscribers and has been viewed by 554.6 million individuals.
K24 TV
K24 TV is a news and entertainment channel that airs a variety of content on it's You tube Channel since February 2008.
Currently, the channel has been watched by 398.5 million individuals and has a total of 1.12 million subscribers.
Hero smashers
The channel focuses on creating epic animated battles with characters such as Batman, Spider-Man, Superman, Hulk, Deadpool or any Marvel and DC superheroes.
The channel, which was created in September 2015, has 928,000 subscribers and 383.7 million views.
Nation
The channel focuses on informing, educating and engaging its audiences through its news pieces.
Currently, the channel has 651,000 subscribers and 269.5 million views.

Otile Brown
The channel belongs to R and B singer Jacob Obunga alias Otile Brown. It is famed for its songs Dusuma, Such Kinda Love, Baby Love and many others.
Currently, the channel has been viewed by 218.9 million individuals and has 849,0000 subscribers.
Ebru TV
The channel is popular for news, entertainment and lifestyle programs that target Kenyans and Africans in general. It currently has 213.5 million views and 715,000 subscribers.
Sauti Sol
Sauti Sol is an Afro-pop band that includes four individuals namely; Biene Aime (Vocals and guitar), Chamano (Vocals and saxophone), Mudigi (Vocals, percussion and drums) and Polycarp (Guitar).
The channel has 198.1 million views and a total of 779,000 subscribers.
RDHD Comps
It is a sports channel that mostly creates content revolving around football. The channel has 739,000 subscribers and 179.8 million views.
Tuko
The channel is popular for airing human interest stories and interviews a variety of guests who share their stories.
The channel has 146.6 million views and 757,000 subscribers.
Willy Paul
The channel houses several Willy Paul music videos including; Lenga, Liar I do and many others. It has 145.5 million views and 768,000 subscribers.
Bahati
Bahati is a musician who has released songs including; sweet darling, Naanza Tena, Ndogo Ndogo among others.
In addition, he posts lifestyle content together with his wife Diana Marwa.
The channel has a total of 124.7 million and 753,000 subscribers.
Inooro TV
It is a vernacular channel that produces content around latest news, Kikuyu movies and Kikuyu entertainment videos.
Having joined on October 8, 2015, the channel has 376,000 subscribers and has been viewed by 119.4 million times.
Africha movies
In this channel, Kenyans get to watch thousands of African movies for free, hence, its popularity.
The channel has been viewed by a total of 108.9 million views and 643,000 subscribers.
Henry Desagu
Desagu is a Kenyan comedian who posts video skits on a weekly basis.
His channel currently has 89.9 million views and 600,000 subscribers.
Njugush
Njugush is a Kenyan comedian who posts short skits on his channel together with his wife Celestine and son Tugi.
The channel has been viewed by 83 million views and has 520,000 subscribers.
Kameme TV
It is a vernacular channel that creates shows, produces news and entertainment content. Since joining YouTube on February 2, 2017, the channel has managed to get 82.9 million views and 255,000 subscribers.
Switch TV
The channel airs a variety of content including; talk shows, inspirational shows, movies, series, soaps, news, hip hop shows, and sports. It currently has 513 subscribers and 65.5 million views.
