Former Inooro TV news anchor Muthoni Mukiri was forced to delete a post and deactivate her Facebook page after it caused a stir among Deputy President William Ruto's fans.

In the post that seemed to ridicule the DP, Muthoni imitated his ways of sharing greetings with his audience in Mt Kenya region.

In addition, she posted a silhouette seemingly to depict the image of the Deputy President.

"Only legends will understand," she captioned her post.

Her sentiments were not taken so lightly by the DP's supporters who came out guns blazing alleging that Muthoni was being disrespectful to the second-in-command.

She was forced to delete the post moments later and even deactivate her account.

In a previous interview, Muthoni advised online bullies following her on social media platforms to unfollow or block her.

The presenter disclosed that bullies caused a lot of anguish to people yet did not realise it.

"Some things are so nasty that if someone said them to me face to face, I would definitely slap them.

"There is an unfollow or block button, so if you don't subscribe to my thinking and what I post, please use those buttons," she added.
