Former Machakos County First Lady, Lilian Ng'ang'a, on Thursday, November 4, accused her former husband and Machakos Governor, Alfred Mutua, of threatening her, fraudulently transferring her shares and forcing her out of the business.
Lillian revealed that the Machakos Governor and 2022 presidential aspirant forcibly obtained her motor vehicle that she purchased in 2014 and that is fully registered in her name, further accusing him of going ahead to fraudulently sell it to a third party.
Many are not aware that besides being the governor's ex-wife, she is an entrepreneur in her own right, owning several business that support her lifestyle.
In an interview with a local magazine, she stated that she began her entrepreneurial journey by venturing into the beauty business, opening two parlours that did not do well at the time.
The stylish Lillian also trying her hand in modelling, which also did not end up in a success story, pushing her to try other revenue models.
She now prides herself in owning a tour and travel company which she opened after the beauty business failed to pick up.
The sassy and fashionable former Machakos County First Lady studied hospitality and tourism, graduating with a Bachelors degree from the University of Nairobi.
The former Machakos First Lady then worked at the Safari Park Hotel for a year right after graduation before joining the aviation industry to work as a flight attendant.
Her career took a paradigm shift after she secured a job with Kenya Airways where she worked for six years earning an average salary range of between Ksh80,000 and Ksh162,000 per month.
She also holds a Masters' Degree in Project Management from the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology(JKUAT), a programme she was pursuing when she started the Lilian Ng'ang'a Foundation in 2017 as the First Lady of Machakos County.
She owns a 45 per cent stake at the posh A&L hotel located on the outskirts of Machakos town and which she co-owns with her former husband. She identifies herself as the operations manager of the hotel on her LinkedIn profile.
Lillian, through her lawyer Philip Murgor, now says that the Machakos Governor has been threatening her to refund the money he has used on her since they first met.
"Indeed, this has already started as he has demanded that I refund any money he has ever given to me or made available for my use. He also threatened to harm persons close to me." she revealed in her statement.
