Former K24 business anchor, Sarah Adam, has joined the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), another addition to the star studded roster at the UK based broadcaster.
Insiders privy to the information told Kenyans.co.ke that Adam will focus on her forte; business news, where she will cover exclusives and features from all over the continent.
During her five-year tenure at the Mediamax based station, Adam delved into various projects; hosting K24InsideBusiness, as well as Destiny Shapers - features which highlighted the life journey of key businessmen and influential people.
Among the notable individuals that were featured include; Peter Mureithi, who invested Ksh100 that amounted to Ksh100 million, Kiambu Member of Parliament Patrick Wainaina's Macademia business and Duncan Munene who ditched his business in America to launch a restaurant.
Adam’s journey in the media industry dates back to 2016, after graduating with a degree in Broadcast journalism. The talented scribes joined Mediamax in January 2016 as a business reporter.
However, in 2020, Adam was part of the journalists who were declared redundant and let go by the station due to budget cuts.
The news comes as former BBC reporter, Sharon Machira, recently joined Google Kenya's communication desk.
She had worked at the station for three years before ultimately making the switch.
Among the shows that she was synonymous with are Life Clinic, She Word, the Breakdown and Kenya Connects. Other stations that Machira had worked for include K24, Homeboyz Radio and held reporting roles at SkyNews and Vice News.
Other notable journalists at BBC are Zawadi Mudibo, Business Editor for Africa( replacement for CNN news anchor Larry Madowo), Sophie Ikenya, Dorcas Wangira, and Anne Mawathe among others.
