How to Check If You Have Been Shortlisted For KDF Jobs

The Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) has announced shortlisted candidates for the position of specialist officers and tradesmen and women.

In a statement by the KDF on Sunday, November 21, the defense forces further announced interview dates and locations for the successfully shortlisted candidates.

The announcement by the special forces follows the closure of the November recruitment process that ended on November 12. Among the advertised departments for the specialist officers included Engineering, Environmental science, Communication, Hospitality among others.

"The underlisted applicants have been shortlisted as Specialist Officers and Tradesmen/women.  Specialist Officer Candidates should report to the Kenya Military Academy (KMA) in Lanet, Nakuru County on Sunday 12 December 2021 at 8.00 am."  

"The applicants for the position of tradesmen/women to report to Embakasi Garrison, Nairobi County, on Sunday, December 5, at 8.00 am," read the statement.

Additionally, KDF stated that they will provide food and accommodation for the candidates during the interview period. However, successful applicants have also been advised to carry along warm clothing and enough face masks.

"Unsuccessful candidates will be reimbursed road traveling expenses in accordance with KDF Regulations," read the statement in part.

All the shortlisted candidates are also advised to carry along their original identification cards and academic papers.

"Candidates MUST bring with them Original National Identity (ID) Card and four copies of their Academic, Professional Certificates, Curriculum Vitae and any other Testimonials," KDF stated.

In the statement, KDF went ahead to caution the shortlisted candidates against trying to influence the interview process adding that the interviews will be free and fair.

"KDF recruitment is free, fair, and open to all eligible Kenyans. Report any malpractice cases to the recruiting teams, nearest police station or through the Defence hotline numbers; 0726419709 or 0120300599," read the statement in part.

How to Check 

Kenyans who applied for the positions can check if they have been shortlisted by visiting the Ministry of Defence website and downloading the list of successful applicants.

Alternatively, applicants can visit verified social media accounts for KDF to access the link directing them to the list of the shortlisted candidates.
