BBC Journalist Grace Kuria is off the market after she tied the knot with her former colleague in a traditional wedding.

A source close to the anchor whispered to Kenyans.co.ke that the screen siren held a low-key ruracio in Murang'a County on Saturday, December 11, where she wed her fiancé Joseph Kanja.

The two met while working at K24 TV where Kuria was started as a cameraperson and Kanja served as a senior graphics designer.

The two knew each other for five years but officially began dating roughly three years ago.

"There shall be wedding sometimes next year. This was just a traditional wedding and a church wedding is yet to come," stated the source.

On the morning of Sunday, December 12, a day after the event took place, Kuria shared photos of her new soulmate on her social media handles.

She captioned the simple pictures they took in a dark background as 'And we're standing here only because You made a way.'

She was dressed in bold brown, blue and yellow prints Kitenge matching those on Kanja's white shirt. The groom was also donning brown pants.

Kuria joined K24 TV as a camera operator after graduating from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.

She, however, developed her passion in the features division and rose through the ranks to become one of the country's best reporters and anchors.

She later moved to KTN News and left for CGTN in January 2021. In September, she was unveiled as the latest face of giant broadcaster BBC, headquartered in London.

Kanja still serves as a senior graphic designer at Mediamax Limited.
