Narc Kenya Party leader Martha Karua has come out to address reports that she was expected to attend the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) National Delegates Conference (NDC).

In a statement on her official Twitter account on Monday, March 14, Karua stated that the reports that were circulating were false and called out the media for publishing unverified information.

Karua insisted that she would not attend the NDC where Deputy President William Ruto is expected to be endorsed as the UDA presidential candidate.

"They should stop sensational reporting and tell viewers the truth that I am not attending the UDA party NDC," she stated, referring to Citizen TV.

The reports on the Narc Kenya leaders attending Ruto's event emerged after leaders allied to the DP addressed the media over their NDC that is scheduled for March 15 at the Kasarani Gymnasium.

At the presser, Tharaka Nithi Senator, Kithure Kindiki divulged that Karua was one of the guests they had invited further hinting at a possible partnership ahead of the August 9 polls.

"In that vein, we expect party leaders from our partner parties to be present as our guests as Ruto has also attended some of their events. We expect Musalia Mudavadi of ANC, Moses Wetangula of Ford Kenya, and Martha Karua.

"We cannot say that there will be a surprise guest but UDA is a friend of so many parties,' he disclosed.

This also comes after the One Kenya Alliance (OKA) principal failed to join her counterparts as they signed a coalition agreement with the Azimio team on Saturday, March 12.

At the event, former Prime Minister Raila Odinga was endorsed as the coalition's presidential candidate.

Consequently, a section of social media users went online to question Karua's absence even as President Uhuru Kenyatta graced the event.

In response, the former Justice Minister in President Mwai Kibaki's administration stated that she was at home relaxing.
