Switch TV has officially rebranded to Switch Production studios, three months after the station ceased on-air broadcast.

In a video seen by Kenyans.co.ke, the brand highlighted its state-of-the-art equipment, essentially opening its doors to the public for studio production services.

Features

The studio consists of a wide selection of movable sets that provide big scenes and ambience for a variety of productions.

Potential customers can utilise the green screen features that can easily manipulate the background. The studio is also equipped with a combination of professional cameras ranging from pedastal cameras to robotics. The high quality cameras offer HD output.

The cameras are also integrated with professional autocue machines that give a unique experience.

Another top-notch feature includes sophisticated lighting that can incorporate different colours to give a different aesthetic feel.

In addition, the studio is equipped with a modern production control room, sound technology. The avid media composer edit suite also provides the ultimate experience because of the integration of the media library that enables faster retrieval of data.

The servers enable remote data sharing across the studio hence offering customers a wide variety of services to choose from.

The move comes after the station, in December 2021, announced that it would transition from air to digital broadcast in line with the market demands.

"In character with our core philosophy of being responsive to the needs of the youth and with the ambition to become the go-to media platform for the emerging generation, Switch Media has made a conscious decision to build a new strategy around being digital-first," the station's group Chairman, Sahil Shah, stated.

"In view of this, Switch Media will be launching new and exciting services and products in this expanding digital space. We hope to grow this brand together with the technology that comes with it. We assure our stakeholders of our continued presence and support," he added.

The announcement led to a mass exit from the station's top anchors and presenters, some of whom have have already joined other media houses.
