Former KTN news editor, Isaiya Kabira, has enjoyed a flourishing career both in media and private practice where he served two sitting Kenyan presidents.
Presidents Mwai Kibaki and Uhuru Kenyatta both appointed Kabira to different capacities in the government.
Kabira served in the Presidential Press Service (PPS) acting as Kibaki's spokesperson between 2003 and 2013.

Kabira thus became the last Press Secretary before Uhuru introduced the Presidential Strategic Communication Unit (PSCU)in July 2013.
President Uhuru extended his public service by appointing him as Kenya's High Commissioner to Australia and Zealand between 2014 to 2020.
Kabira who worked with Daily Nation as a business and economics news correspondent was again reappointed by President Uhuru to serve as the Director-General of International conferences, Media Events, and Public Communications at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He also undertook consultant roles with Nairobi Stock Exchange, Shelter Afrique, and Institute for Education in Democracy.
His outstanding contribution saw him feted by Kibaki with the Moran of the Burning Spear(MBS). In 1997, Kabira was awarded by the Kenyan Community Abroad its first ever award in recognition of his role in promoting the growth of media and democracy in Kenya.
The media practitioner studied Bachelor of Arts at the University of Nairobi before he enrolled at Harvard University in 2008, where he pursued a course on Managing Political and Economic Transitions in developing countries.
