Differences within the Kenya Kwanza coalition continued to play out in yet another rally after Gatundu South Member of Parliament, Moses Kuria, and Kiambu Senator Kimani Wamatangi clashed during a joint Kiambu rally held on Saturday, July 9.

Addressing the crowd, Kuria claimed that Wamatangi sought votes for his own bid and did not bother to garner support for their coalition party leader, William Ruto.

Kuria added that he was the best bet to transform the lives of Kiambu residents.

"This earth is hard. I have been on campaign trail with Sen Kimani wa Matangi for 11 hours today. Not once did he ask people to vote for William Ruto," Kuria stated.

In yet another public outburst, the two politicians rallied their supporters behind their bids. However, Wamatangi's efforts to address the crowd were futile as Kuria's camp chanted in perfect unison.

In a video seen by Kenyans.co.ke, Kuria was spotted dancing in jubilation atop his vehicle while Wamatangi was struggling to be heard.

Seemingly undeterred, the senator proceeded to conclude his speech, noting that Kenyans would decide on the ballot come August 9, 2022.

Kenya Kwanza Deputy Presidential candidate, Rigathi Gachagua conspicuously skipped the event with reports claiming that he had caught wind of chaos ensuing during the rally.

This comes barely weeks after Wamatangi and Tujibebe Party leader, William Kabogo, engaged in an ugly showdown during Gachagua's tour in Limuru.

"I will no longer buy fear from you Kabogo, you spoke here and I did not interrupt you, my focus is on developing Kiambu and do not dare me. Look elsewhere if you want to sell fear - who told you this county belongs to you? Shut up and get out of here!" Wamatangi lamented.

"Talk about your issues or get out of here," Kabogo retorted.
