Deputy President William Ruto launched a state-of-the-art campaigns coordination and command centre located in Nairobi's commercial district of Westlands.

The campaign coordination hub located at Soin Shopping Arcade in Westlands was officially launched by the Director of the William Ruto Presidential Campaign Secretariat, Josephat Nanok, on Friday, July 15.

Nanok - who is also the outgoing Turkana governor - stated that the hub has been in operation since March but was officially opened Friday.

For maximum efficiency, the Kenya Kwanza campaign team has set desks in the center to coordinate campaign strategies in all 47 counties.

The hub will also serve as the central nerve for coordination of all campaign messages, campaign route planning, and synchronization of the daily agenda in all the 47 counties.

The Kenya Kwanza flagbearer has designated the center as a tallying center to receive the results from the various polling stations in a bid to avoid election malpractices from the Independence Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).

Ruto has expressed confidence in emerging victorious in the August 9 polls against his other competitors Raila Odinga of Azimio La Umoja, Waihiga Mwaure of Agano, and George Wajakoyah of Roots Party.

His campaign team is led by Josephat Nanok, UDA Secretary General, Veronica Maina, Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua, and Uasin Gishu Woman Rep, Gladys Shollei.

“I officially welcome you to William Ruto’s Presidential Campaign Centre. This is where our technical teams have been operating from to plan for the elections,” said Nanok.

Mutua echoed Nanok’s words and expressed confidence in Ruto winning and forming Kenya’s next government. He added that the team is majorly focused on free, open, and fair elections.

“We have confidence that we are going to form the next government. We know that we are going to win. Our opponents are already worried and have started making demands to IEBC,” Mutua emphasized.

The leaders also challenged the media to accord all presidential candidates fair coverage, citing bias by some TV and radio stations.
